Help Super Cycling Man!

You may remember that we ran a profile of Super Cycling Man, Will Hodson, last month. Will was a 38 year old Primary School teacher from South London who gave up his job and sold everything of value he had in the world to cycle across all 7 continents in a Superman costume, including Antarctica, with the aim of raising money for charity. Well, Super Cycling Man needs your help!

He set off from London in April last year and has crossed all of Europe, some 10,000 km. So, 1 continent down, just 6 to go! Watch this video to see the moment he reached the end of the continent:

He’s left Istanbul on the Asian leg of his journey but unfortunately he has only enough money to get as far as India at the moment - he’s asking for an injection of funds to help him reach his 3 main goals which are:

1.    To complete a record breaking 100,00km cycle around the world
2.    To raise £100,000 for charity, including The World Cancer Research Fund, Parkinson’s UK, World Bicycle Relief and Sustrans. £11,000 has been donated so far.
3.    To inspire 100,000 children worldwide by visiting schools along the way

“One day at school, I read a book all about heroes to my class and I was so inspired by the message that we can all do heroic acts, big and small, that I decided to go for my dreams and attempt a round the world bike ride.”

Almost the entire adventure has been self-funded so far. He’s camping along the way, staying at Warm Showers residences and occasionally sleeping in cheap hotels. The main expense he has is food.

Would you like a postcard from Will from each of the 7 continents? He has a range of offers for your donations: for £50 he will send you a handwritten postcard when he reaches the end of each continent. If you can’t afford that, he will send you 1 customised postcard for £10. Other offers include school visits, a skype call and personalised messages written on his bags.
