5 Star Cycling in Mallorca with Ashmei and Cycology

Do you like a bit of luxury on your cycling holidays? High-end clothing brand Ashmei have teamed up with tour operator Cycology for a long weekend in Mallorca which offers five star accommodation, guided rides in some of the best cycling terrain the world has to offer and some exclusive Ashmei kit. Hurry to secure a place on this limited availability trip – there are only twelve places.

You’ll be staying at the Jumeirah Port Soller which has a stunning cliff top location at the foot of the famous Tramuntana mountains. There are two pool bars and three restaurants to choose from as well as spa facilities where you can get a complimentary massage. Included in the package is a talk from an ex-professional bike racer about life in the peloton.

Soller is ideally placed for some of the best riding on the island with Sa Calobra, Puig Major and Coll de Soller nearby. Guided rides will be between 40 and 75 miles per day and a support vehicle is provided, offering you some challenging cycling in a supportive environment. You can take your own bike or use one of Cycology’s carbon fibre Trek bikes.

The Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Palma and transfer to the hotel. Set up bikes with a mechanic on hand to help, followed by a short ride to check bike fit. Return to the hotel for a welcome evening dinner.

Day 2: A coastal ride of about 75km and 1640m elevation taking in Deia, Valldemossa and Coll de Soller. Return to the hotel for a group talk from an ex professional.

Day 3: After an initial climb up the numerous hairpins of Coll de Soller, head inland to Bunyola, Santa Maria and a refueling stop in the lovely town of Alaro. 80 km distance with 1847 m of climbing.

Day 4: The most challenging day of riding taking on Puig Major, then descending the famous sweeping road of Sa Calobra. Refreshments at the bottom before reversing the ride and retracing your steps back to the hotel. Only 72km in distance but plenty of climbing with an elevation of 2160m.

The dates are 5th – 8th April, in our experience possibly the best time of year to cycle in Mallorca with warm but not hot temperatures. The island looks its best with verdant fields, wild flowers and there’s a beautiful light. Price per person is £2600. Click here to book.
